Course description |
This course attempts to take an international comparative perspective to questions of employment and employment policies. It will seek to identify varieties in patterns of employment and problems for welfare to which they give rise. Unemployment and poverty in international perspective. Macroeconomic policy. The deregulation strategy. Welfare states - impact on employment. 'Welfare to work' policies. Education and skills policies. Wages policies. 'Equal opportunities' in employment. |
