Course description - introduce and discuss topical issues in rseearch practice in the GeoSciences;
- explore and discuss questions of research design and approaches to research;
- provide an opportunity for student presentation and debate on these issues;
- participation in current research debates in the GeoSciences;

- attendance at appropriate seminars in Semester 2 (eg. from the global Change, Subsurface, CECS, HGRG, EEO, Hutton Club series)
- Successful completion of Confirmation Presentation and Report
