Course description |
This courses gives students exposure to a variety of ares of Psychology in which our local research community excels. Staff from the Psychology subject area and related disciplines lecture on their specialist areas with a special focus on the methods used to collect and analyse their data.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
- Understand the underlying theoretical principles of at least two local research projects
- Be able to explain how research questions have influenced the methodologies that were chosen to explore the hypotheses under exploration
- To show how choice and use of methdology is influenced by the particular subject matter
- To examine how contextual factors affect collection and meaning of evidence
- Give students the opportunity to discuss current research issues with experts in the area |
