Course description |
Rather than reifying ritual and religion by treating them as bounded categories of human experience/thought/action or paradigmatic objects of ethnographic analysis, the aim of this course is to provide a critical reappraisal of how the notions of ?ritual? and ?religion? have been constructed and used in the comparative study of society and culture. |
