Year 1, Academic year 2010/11, Starting month: SeptemberThe MArch is a 2 year programme. There are compulsory courses that must be taken as part of your 2 year programme. These courses are not listed in the compulsory section below, this is because the year you take these courses can be flexible. Not every course will be run in each year. For progression from the first to the second year of the MArch you must pass 120 credits. 240 credits are required for the award of the degree. A minimum of 100 credits must be taken in Architectural Design Studio modules. Students must pass Academic Portfolio 2 to achieve exemption from ARB/RIBA Part 2. Some Architectural Design Studio modules will be linked over two years and will therefore have prerequisites for entry. Notes:With the exception of Studio A and Studio B, all the above are compulsory courses which must be taken at some point during the 2 year MArch Programme. You must take at least one of Studio A or Studio B during the 2 year MArch Programme [and subject to approval you may be allowed to take both Studio A and Studio B].
