Course descriptionThis course involves studio-based work in which rigorous experimentation and research in contemporary architectural design techniques takes place. It develops the design experimentation conducted in 'Design Project 1', and culminates in a thoroughly resolved architectural proposal for a specified urban setting. The range of knowledges and skills developed in courses in architectural theory and digital design are expected to be thoroughly integrated into this architectural proposal.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
- Undertake architectural design work of an advanced standard on the basis of a critical understanding architecture's relation to the larger field of cultural production
- Think creatively about architectural design and its implications for contemporary urban contexts
- Articulate appropriate theoretical dimensions of architecture and creatively mobilise them within a digitally informed design practice
- Evaluate a range of design techniques and apply selected techniques appropriately within a given professional context
- Show leadership within an architectural design team by demonstrating skills in research, design, discussion, writing, and presentation.
