Course descriptionThis course engages with current sustainable thinking and how this manifests itself in the built environment.
It examines architecture and the environmental movement in terms of social, economic and environmental criteria and how this can affect architectural response at regional and city scales.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
An ability to critically assess sustainability as a cultural, economic and environmental phenomenon.

Comprehension of the cultural, historic and scientific roots of environmental thought.

The application of sustainable theory to built environment contexts.
