| Course description | This course provides frameworks in which to enact sustainable design strategies at the level of the neighbourhood and specific building types including the home and workplace.  
 
It includes the introduction of key sustainable methodologies such as design for deconstruction. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes 
An ability to critically assess sustainability as a cultural, economic and environmental phenomenon. 
 
Comprehension of the cultural, historic and scientific roots of environmental thought. 
 
The application of sustainable theory to built environment contexts. |
