Course description | Indicative course content
The second term thematic assignment engages with the representation of the City as public space. Public space is a complex terrain that demands intelligent analysis and cooperation between various disciplines. Students are encouraged to make site specific work in response to the urban context. The studio will result in an exhibition within the context of the city of Edinburgh.
Aims of course
1 To define concepts of art / space / nature and science within the urban context.
2 To extend the student's ability to research, analyse and critically investigate theories and methods of making and placing work in the urban context.
3 To participate in group exhibition.
