Course descriptionIndicative course content
To consolidate an understanding of the specialist concerns and issues relevant to contemporary sculpture practice.

Aims of course
1 To integrate an understanding of Sculpture within individual practice.
2 To further develop conceptual strategies through appropriate technical methods and materials establishing an individual approach and personal sculptural language.
3 To consolidate a range of self directed experimental and critical decision making processes in the making, development and presentation of Sculpture.

Mode of delivery
Studio, workshop, external projects, group and individual critiques, project spaces, exhibitions.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. EXPERIMENTATION Evidence an ability to develop personal ideas through experimentation and by taking risks.
2. PROCESS Develop making and research methods to articulate individual ideas.
3. REFLECTION Demonstrate a personal approach that incorporates critical and reflective analysis with an awareness of contemporary art practice.
