This module offers students the opportunity to acquire and demonstrate the professional skills required to equip them for a successful transition from higher education to the professional context of a working artist or designer-maker.
Aims of course
1 To ensure that students are able to research and apply knowledge related to the professional, legal, ethical and fiscal frameworks within which artists operate in the UK
2 To equip students to enable them to discuss, analyse and present their own work in contexts, fora and formats appropriate to the professional environment of a working artist/designer
3 To develop students&© competence in carrying out both individually and within the group studentship activities that are directly relevant to the professional concerns of this module

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Demonstrate confident understanding of the nature and function of the studio system in Scotland and the UK and a grasp of public and private funding, legal issues and ethical issues and the obligations of global citizenship
2. Show an ability to work with a peer group to develop advanced joint projects including a slide/digital presentation to an audience
3. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the ways in which Studentship enhances individual learning at this level and within the professional environment |
