| Course description | A systematic survey of general mammalian (mainly human) physiology which lays the groundwork for all subsequent courses in Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience. Course topics include: the composition of body fluids and fluid homeostasis, membrane structure in relation to function, nerves and hormones, the cardiovascular, respiratory, renal and gastro-intestinal systems and an introduction to reproductive physiology. |
