Course descriptionThe course consists of 18 lectures, with some tutorials, inlcuding groups of students presenting results of guided independent learning. There is also one computer-based practical and problem sheets to support learning.

The course covers the following modules:

* Cosmogeny and comparative planetology
* Composition and dating
* Physics of the Earth's interior
Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: Earth Dynamics (EASC08001) AND Introduction to Geophysics (EASC08008) AND Mathematical Methods 4 (Phys Sci) (MATH08018) AND Applicable Mathematics 4 (Phys Sci) (MATH08017) AND Physics 2A (PHYS08022)
