Course description | The course is based in Helmsdale, Northern Scotland. Rocks are examined and described from the W and S coasts of the Inner Moray Firth, to build up a geological history of the area. The interaction between active tectonics (faulting) and sedimentation is studied. The strata are analogues of rocks found beneath the N Sea in petroleum and CCS prospective areas. |
