Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
-To further develop some essential language skills in reading, listening comprehension, writing and speaking Russian.
-To further develop translation skills and further encourage grammatical and syntactical accuracy as well as a higher degree of spoken Russian -- than in Russian 2.
-To provide an opportunity for independent study and to promote the effective use of reference resources and authentic language materials.
Assessment Information
Course-work assessment; written language exercises including translation and precis projects; continuous assessment of oral work, 2 class tests Oral exam, end-of-year exam assessment: written -language paper (translation, precis); oral exam.
Coursework - 30% overall mark
Examination - 70% overall mark
