Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course the student will be expected to show the ability:
- to demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the authors and period
- to recognise and acknowledge the complexities of the subject
- to understand and competently apply relevant concepts and theories
- to construct coherent arguments demonstrating an awareness of the problems posed by the texts and issues
- to demonstrate a high level of written and oral presentation
- to discuss alternative perspectives and show an awareness of contrasting viewpoints
