Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this course the candidate should

- Understand the principles of blood spatter creation
- Understand the principles of blood stain interpretation as it pertains to biological evidence Be able to describe the major causes and types of injury
- Know how to record bloodstains and blood spatter evidence
- Know how to collect bloodstains and blood spatter evidence
- Know how to process bloodstains and blood spatter evidence
Assessment Information
The modules are accompanied by case study based written assignments (approx 500 words), including logic and reasoning type responses, experimental design, data interpretation and discussion (67%). The topic modules are accompanied by an online timed multiple choice quizzes (33%).
8 modules are studied throughout the course.
Special Arrangements
Registered students will access this course using their EASE username and password. In addition to the course materials and resources provided on WebCT, candidates will be expected to use internet and published resources during self directed study and research.
