Course descriptionThis course provides the student with basic and up-to-date knowledge and undertsanding of the rules governing Scots Family Law as they relate to spouses, same-sex couples, co-habitants, and parents and children.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
To permit the student to apply the rules of Family Law to detailed and realistic situations;

To allow the student to see the socio-political consequences of the rules, and to encourage the student to adopt a critical analysis of the rules;

To give the student a basic knowledge of the subject matter, and to stimulate an interest in all aspects of Family Law
