Course descriptionThis course develops knowledge and understanding of (i) the international legal system; (ii) the main institutions which contribute to the development and application of international law; (iii) the legal rules, principles and processes which govern key areas of inter-state activity; (iv) the interface between international law and international relations

Prohibited Combinations Other requirements This course is primarily designed for those students from the School of Social and Political Sciences and in particular for those students taking the MA Honours degree in International Relations or the MA Honours degree in International Relations and Law. Students from other schools and subject areas wishing to take international law as an outside subject are encourages to enrol for the International Law Ordinary (semester 1) course (LAWS08114).

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
To develop student skills of (i) case and treaty analysis;
