Course descriptionA series of lectures giving an overview of important microorganisms and the diseases they cause. There will be a series of tutorials where the class is split into groups of four or five students and assigned to one member of staff. The aim of the tutorials is to provide the opportunity for students to have ready access to a member of staff and to cover many aspects related to Microbiology and Infection. During the tutorials a number of exercises will be covered. These include practice and feedback on essay writing, oral presentation and scientific interpretation of research papers.
