Course descriptionThis course gives an introduction to the analysis and discussion of musical form and style. It will involve the detailed study of scores and the aural analysis of sound recordings.

- Students will understand the basics of musical form and structure.
- They will be able to read musical scores and gain information from them.
- They will understand how to contextualise such information.
- They will develop a practice of discussing music in detail.
