Course description | A study of tooth development will form the foundation of the course. The structure and function of the calcified tissues, the dental pulp and the supporting structures of the tooth will also be studied. The gross anatomy of the dentition of the domestic animals and selected exotic species will also be explored. A practical project report will form 50% of the assessment. The students will have an examination at the end of semester 1 which will contribute 50% of the marks for this course. |
