Notes: Progression to Honours normally requires a pass in all subjects taken in the first two years. Students must, however, achieve a pass (40%) in History of Art 2 at the first attempt and a mark of 50% or above in the two second-year courses: Social and Political Theory and Social and Political Enquiry at the first attempt.
Below you will see that there are 2 sections containing History of Art Honours courses. The first section lists the pre-1500-1850 courses and the second section lists the post-1850 courses. History of Art and Social Anthropology 3 students must choose a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 2 courses FROM THE PRE-1500-1850 LIST and a maximum of 1 course FROM THE POST 1850 LIST. Courses should be as balanced as possible with the same number of courses taken in each semester.
