Regulations Applying to Degrees offered by the Scottish Agricultural
College and Validated by the University of Edinburgh
The General and Honours Degrees of Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, Rural Resource Management, Sustainable Environmental Management and Environmental Protection are offered by the Scottish Agricultural College and validated by the University of Edinburgh. For these degrees students are subject to the relevant regulations of the Scottish Agricultural College approved by the University Validation Board, and to the following additional regulations:
Degree Programme Curricula
For the BSc in Animal Science, Rural Resource Management, Sustainable Environmental Management and Environmental Protection degrees, the courses of study shall be selected from any course or unit at the Scottish Agricultural College validated for the degree by the University of Edinburgh, together with courses from the Schedules of Courses published in the Degree Regulations and Programmes of Study.
Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, Rural Resource Management, Sustainable
Environmental Management or Environmental Protection, General Degree

To qualify for the award of the General Degree of Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, Rural Resource Management, Sustainable Environmental Management or Environmental Protection students must have obtained 360 credit points from passes (or accreditation of prior learning, acceptable under General Undergraduate Regulation 11), including at least 120 credit points at SCQF level 9 or 10, together with such further requirements as are approved by the University Validation Board and set out in the Regulations of the Scottish Agricultural College. A student is permitted to graduate with a BSc General degree with a minimum of one year of study at SAC |

To qualify for the award of the Honours Degree of Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, Rural Resource Management, Sustainable Environmental Management or Environmental Protection students must have obtained 480 credit points from passes (or accreditation of prior learning, acceptable under General Undergraduate Regulation 11), including at least 120 credit points at SCQF level 9 and 120 points at SCQF level 10, together with such further requirements as are approved by the University Validation Board and set out in the Regulations of the Scottish Agricultural College. |
