Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
At the end of this module, course members will be able to:
-understand different theoretical perspectives on notions of Equality, 'Social Justice & Inclusion'.
-the significance of competing voices and discourses in social & public policy and in community action.
-the contribution of research to the pursuit of a 'Social Justice' agenda.
-and address key legal and policy requirements, obligations and entitlements relating to 'anti-discriminatory practice' and strategies for combating these.
-the above concepts and principles within their professional and institutional contexts. |
Assessment Information
Students will be expected to write an essay [5000 words] and to develop a portfolio that must:
a) contain selected evidence to show that the practical element of the CT Standard has been met and to provide an indication of the quality and sustained nature of practice;
b) be independently verified to confirm the veracity of the other evidence provided and claims made.
