Developing on from successful completion of the Scottish Studies Dissertation Part A, taken in Year 3, students will undertake and complete the research and present a 10,000 word dissertation. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will learn how to develop an independent scholarly research project through to completion. The dissertation will demonstrate that they have acquired a strong empirical and critical knowledge of their research area, an understanding of how to structure and present a sustained analytical argument, and a well-developed appreciation of academic standards of referencing and general presentation. |
