For students to take Marketing (BUST08004, 20 Credits) in year 2, they must take Business Studies 1 (BUST08001, 40 credits) in year 1. Students who gain a pass in Marketing are qualified to study a greater range of course options in years 4 and 5 than those students who have not done so. Notes:These courses are usually taken in Year 2, but Innovation and Enterprise for Scientists and Engineers (MAEE08003) may be taken in Year 1, depending on individual student timetable. To take Marketing (BUST08004), students will need to have taken Business Studies 1 (BUST08001, 40 credits) in year 1. AND Select exactly 40 credits from Level 7 and 8 courses in Schedules A to Q, T and W, as available Notes:It is recommended that at least 20 points of courses be taken from courses within the College of Science and Engineering, schedules K-Q/T. Common choices for this programme are to take one or more of Environmental Chemistry 2 (CHEM08020), Materials Chemistry 2 (CHEM08021) or Chemical Pharmacology 2 (BIME08002). For students entering Year 2 of the degree programme directly (known as entry with Advanced Standing), Chemistry 2X (CHEM08018) is strongly recommended. Chemistry 2X is compulsory for students transferring into Year 2 of the degree programme with a pass in Biological Chemistry 1B (CHEM08023). |
