Course descriptionIn the context of science communication, this course will explore, both theoretically and experientially, effective use of the following: different learning styles, use of voice and body language, and questioning and listening. The use of props, demonstrations, interactivity and hands-on activities will also be covered.

On completion of the course, you will be able to demonstrate:
* Skills and confidence in presenting scientific concepts and contexts to a variety of audiences.
* An understanding of different learning styles and the choice of techniques to address them
* Skills and methodologies for effective interactivity during presentations and hands-on activities
Assessment Information
* Development, delivery and written evaluation of a science presentation with interactive elements, for a prescribed audience and purpose. (60%)
* Drawing on course material, a descriptive report on the adaptation, delivery and evaluation of a hands-on activity for a prescribed audience and venue. (40%)
