Course descriptionThe 2nd year of the programme demands a refined and self-critical response from the student not only to reflect on a generated body of work, but more essentially identify the strands of thematic content which underpin personal development.
This course enables students to develop the theoretical context of their work through a process of reflective practice to identify areas of theory and current debate relevant to personal interest and professional development.

Aims of the Course:

To develop theoretical and organisational aspects of personal interest for advanced analysis, research and practice.

To relate personal interest through comparative literature review.

To explore precedents of creative practice and technique that informs personal practice.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Reflection: present a retrospective documentation of work produced to date, with an evident sense of critical evaluation.
2. Exploration: undertake an investigation into comparative literature and precedents of creative practice.
3. Development: demonstrate an awareness of the theoretical context of your personal work and how this is positioned within current thinking.
