Course descriptionIndicative course content
This module enables students to develop knowledge and skills appropriate to their discipline within a specific cultural and professional context. Students work on a series of projects of differing time-frames and complexity within and outwith the studio. Students are encouraged to collect and analyse research that is creatively informed and critically aware, to enable the development of an integrated iterative process incorporating researching, making, evaluating, presenting and reflection.

Aims of course
1 to develop advanced art and research methods, techniques and approaches
2 to explore how artists develop an individual practice and position themselves in the discipline
3 to introduce the cultural and social issues relevant to contemporary art practice in Scotland
