Assessment Information
Assessment is formative at end of Semester 1 and summative at end of Semester 2.
Research report- This report should detail at least two bodies of work. It should articulate how an artwork has been arrived at. How did you start? What did you look at? What processes did you use? What context are you working in? What are your methods? The report is therefore a synthesis of what you looked at. It could include sections from notebooks, your own writing (descriptive and reflective) It is not everything that you looked at during a semester but what you looked at in relation to a work you completed. It is the narrative (both visual and textual) of a body of work. You will need 1 of these reports and the word count is 500 words. Useful formats for the presentation of these reports could be illustrator (its great for combining word and image, or VUE (downloadable from Tufts University) which is particularly good for integrating digital resources. Equally this report could be paper collage and hand written text. The format should be chosen to reflect your working processes.
