Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will encounter an accumulated total of 1600-1800 vocabulary items and 1000 Chinese characters.
They will be prepared for residence in China.
They will be able to use bookshops and libraries and consult catalogues and journals in preparation for independant research.
They will be able to read and write letters, conduct telephone conversations and use Chinese word-processing and email software.
