Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will have:
- familiarity with the contents of Pauline writing(s) chosen;
- familiarity with major critical approaches and issues in scholarly study of Paul, and ability to develop plausible positions on these issues that reflect scholarly approaches;
- the ability to do close study and exegesis of the text;
- appropriately used scholarly publications in class sessions, course essay and exam;
- engaged in weekly preparation for informed participation in seminar-format discussion;
- the ability to present the results of research and analysis in coherent, structured written form, and demonstrating good English composition and proper acknowledgement of sources consulted. |
Assessment Information
10% seminar presentation;
30% essay (ca. 2500 words);
60% degree examination. |
