Course descriptionThe aim of the course is to enhance participants' capabilities to recognise, assess and articulate opportunities related to the green economy; to understand the resources required to underpin venture development and growth; and know from where and how to access these resources. The course also seeks to help participants to develop a greater awareness of their personal goals, motivations, strengths and limitations in the context of ventures creation and growth, whether that is in the context of forming new ventures, joining a young venture or looking to initiate a new business activity within an existing organisation.

The course provides opportunities for students to learn from each other, from practitioners in the field and from the latest theories/concepts on the topic. The course is intended to provide students with a solid grounding in key fundamentals of management thinking on this topic, but also with the opportunity to apply these in practice. Interactive lecture sessions will be complemented by contributions from guest speakers who will be important to student learning by providing first-hand experience of the issues associated with pursing entrepreneurial opportunities in the field.
