Course description | This course provides a topical review and analysis of a major area of practice and research in financial management and also in accounting. The course will encourage students to engage rationally and critically with corporate governance and assurance, each of which is a highly contentious area in both practice and research.

After successfully completing this course, students will have:
· Developed a critical understanding of the theory and practice of corporate governance;
· Developed a critical understanding of the practice and theory of the principal forms of audit based assurance;
· Developed a critical understanding of the principal governance and assurance issues relating to organisational form
