Course description | The aims of this module are: 1) to explore the development of the person with particular reference to person-centred and psychodynamic perspectives; 2) to examine a variety of accounts of the origins and perpetuation of psychological difficulties; 3) to address the extent to which change and development is possible, with reference to the interplay of inner and outer worlds and the encounter with difference; 4) to clarify the meanings of the terms "self" and "person"; 5) to commence the practice placement and the work of the practice and process group. This module is only available to those students selected for and currently undertaking the Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling. This module costs an additional 390 pounds. |
