| Course description | Students can opt between a standard written dissertation or a work-based project during this final year. The written reflective element should consist of 12,000 words in which the student demonstrates critical analysis, academic knowledge of the particular area, capacity to document and manage the process of data gathering, information management and succinct writing. Students will be encouraged to develop a written reflective element that is useful and bears significant relation to their current or proposed working life. Before beginning, a detailed proposal must be submitted and approved by supervisors. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
| The dissertation will require a high level of commitment and application from the candidate and provides a valuable exercise in the writing and presentation of information to a standard that engages appropriately with academic conventions in relation to style, tone, structuring and referencing. Supervisors will provide support on research methodologies and other skills required for successful completion of the written reflective element. |
