Course description | Students can opt between a number of proposed reflective elements such as a written dissertation (either current or historical) a casebook, portfolio or a substantial project grant application document during this final year. The written reflective element should consist of between 10-15,000 words in which the student demonstrates critical analysis, academic knowledge of the particular area, capacity to document and manage the process of data gathering, information management and succinct writing. Students will be encouraged to develop a written reflective element that is useful and bears significant relation to their current or proposed working life. Before beginning a detailed proposal must be submitted and approved by those candidates supervisory support. Provision will be made for students who wish to submit an alternative to the written reflective options provided |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
This feature will require a high level of commitment and application from the candidate and provides a valuable exercise in the writing and presentation of information to a standard that engages appropriately with academic conventions in relation to style, tone, structuring and referencing. As an integral element of the final year further support will be provided on research methodologies. This resource will provide training in the skills required for successful completion of the written reflective element. |
