Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The intended learning outcomes reflect the scope and presentation of the course. The basic aim is to encourage students to go back to primary sources, particularly the text written at the time, in order to see 'drawing' in the historical context. A similar aim is intended in using the Print Room, so that students experience works first hand, rather than entirely through reproductions and so develop a feel for quality and techniques, which are very important aspects of the subject.
Assessment Information
Principal means of assessment is a 4,000 word essay. In addition each candidate's performance will be monitored through the presentation of seminar material.
