Course descriptionThis course is based on a robust and critical examination of what an "outcome" is in relation to the inputs, processes and outputs of services, and explores how different interest groups; patients, providers and policy makers may see "outcomes" differently. It proceeds to critically reviewing how understandings of "outcomes" shape policy and practice. It examines the links between "outcome" driven practice and key policy areas; including rehabilitation and personalisation. Finally it goes into some depth about ways in which they can be measured.
