Course descriptionThis course is an introduction to applied linguistics. It provides a survey of the most active research areas in the field, examines the nature of pedagogical descriptions of languages and their place in language teaching and explores the principal issues being debated within critical applied linguistics.
Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: ( Linguistics 2A (LASC08006) AND Linguistics 2B (LASC08013)) OR ( Linguistics 2A (LASC08006) AND Linguistics 2Lh: Structure and History of the Western European Languages (LASC08007)) OR English Language 2 (LASC08002)
