Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will:
&·Gain knowledge of the central microeconomic concepts that can be applied to health and health care.
&·Develop their understanding of the potential role of markets in health care regulation and reform.
&·Acquire skills for conducting and appraising economic evaluations of health care programmes.
&·Progress their knowledge and understanding of how basic concepts of equity can be used to evaluate inequalities in health service access, use and outcomes.
