This module introduces the histories of the British and Scottish planning systems and the theory that leads to current legislation. The Scottish Planning System is contextualised internationally by looking at examples from other European countries and the USA.
Aims of course
1 To provide a basic understanding of the planning process
2 To provide a general awareness of the issues of planning law, development control and the development process which influence the process of the delivery of a design.
