Course descriptionStudents may choose from a range of media including painting, photography, printmaking and digital imaging to develop exploration in to the possibilities of two dimensional image making.

2. Demonstrate competence and confidence in the handling of a range of materials to create two dimensional images
3. Show competence and a considered approach to the selection and presentation of work for assessment at this level

Additional Information
Academic description This course builds on skills learned at SCQF level 7. Research is a key component of the course and students are expected to develop their own ideas and interests as the main driver of their study. Using this research, students will develop individual responses using two dimensional media. Selection and presentation will be important considerations in the submission of work for assessment.
Syllabus Students may attend classes in photography, painting, printmaking, digital media or other relevant processes.

Reading list A reading list relating to the student's individual practice will be provided

Study Pattern Students will undertake 200 hours of study which will include 50 hours of class contact time and 50 hours of directed study. The remaining 100 hours will allow students to undertake self-directed study.
