| Course description | Indicative course content
In this module students will create a substantial body of work in any approved discipline (or combination of disciplines) derived from extensive independent research and will present or exhibit that work with a high degree of professionalism. Emphasis is placed on the creation of a detailed proposal, outlining the project, and comprehensive documentation of the exhibited work.
Aims of course
1 To foster a fully developed understanding of the interrelationship between the finished work and the critical thinking and research undertaken as part of its development.
2 To encourage consideration, at an advanced level, of the technical and conceptual strategies appropriate to the making and showing of a body of work.
3 To foster professional and well considered approaches in the presentation of work created in this module.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Show evidence of a high level of originality and a distinct personal language in a substantial body of finished work and supporting research.
2. Demonstrate a high degree of awareness of a range of technical and conceptual issues appropriate to the presentation of a body of work in a public context.
3. Show professionalism, good judgement and a highly considered approach to the selection and presentation of a highly resolved body of work for exhibition and assessment. |
