Course descriptionIndicative course content
The aim of this module is to research, develop and critically assesses methods for documenting and presenting personal practice. As contemporary art moves between and beyond accepted modes of production then artists are required to consolidate, rethink and invent methods of social exchange and interaction.

Aims of course
1 To encourage critical reflection on documentation, dissemination, and application of Intermedia art work.
2 To examine notions of professionalism in contemporary art practice.
3 To provide a realistic and sustainable forum for a future, and enduring, praxis.

Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: ( Intermedia Practice 3 (ARTX09043) AND Intermedia Research 3 (ARTX09044) AND Intermedia Professional Practice 3 (ARTX09045) AND Art 3: Visual Research (ARTX09046)) OR ( Drawing, Painting and Sculpture Studio Practice (Outgoing Exchange) (ARTX09030) AND Non-compulsory year abroad (half year) (XXXX09005)) OR ( Drawing, Painting and Sculpture Studio Practice (Outgoing Exchange) (ARTX09030) AND Non-compulsory year abroad (half year) (XXXX09002))
Co-requisites Students MUST also take: Intermedia Practice 4 (ARTX10013) AND Intermedia Research 4 (ARTX10014) AND Art 4: Research Project (ARTX10017)
Prohibited Combinations Other requirements This course is only available to ECA students on degree programmes belonging to the School of Art.
Additional Costs ECA students are required to pay for the cost of materials used throughout their programme of study.
