Indicative course content
This course enables students to develop a personal, integrated, critical and reflective design approach appropriate to their chosen discipline. Students work on self-selected and generated projects within a studio environment.
Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: ( Art 3: Visual Research (ARTX09046) AND Studio 3 (Photography) (ARTX09069) AND Research 3 (Photography) (ARTX09070) AND Professional Practice 3 (Photography) (ARTX09071))
Co-requisites Students MUST also take: ( Research 4 (Photography) (ARTX10032) AND Professional Practice 4 (Photography) (ARTX10034) AND Art 4: Research Project (ARTX10017)) OR ( Research 4 (20 credit option) (Photography) (ARTX10033) AND Professional Practice 4 (Photography) (ARTX10034) AND Art 4: Extended Research Project (ARTX10018))

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. INITIATE: demonstrate the initiation and evaluation of orginal creative concepts in response to research findings through critical assessment
2. EVALUATE: demonstrate the evaluation of the development of projects through a structured, transparent and personal methodology and considered judgement
3. RESOLVE: demonstrate appropriate material development through a transparent iterative process leading to resolved outcomes at an appropriate professional standard, demonstrating an intergrated relationship between preactice, theory and industry
