Course descriptionThis course is centred on the biology of stem cells and the molecular regulation of cellular differentiation in the mammalian embryo. Current molecular, cellular and genetic approaches will be examined through a combination of lectures and student presentations of research papers. There will be an opportunity to see at first hand the techniques of embryonic stem cell culture, embryo micromanipulation and in vivo labelling.
