Course descriptionThis course is only available to students in the School of Design.

Indicative course content
This course introduces students to the fundamental knowledge and skills appropriate to their chosen discipline. Students work on a series of exercises and projects of differing time-frames and increasing complexity within a studio environment. Students are encouraged to develop an iterative creative process that incorporates making, evaluating, presenting and reflecting.

Aims of course
1 introduce basic creative methods, techniques and approaches
2 explore how practitioners personally respond to briefs
3 introduce materials and processes

Studio-Based Project Work, Group Crits, Individual and Group Mentoring, Project Review

Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed:

DESI07001, DESI07002, DESI07003, DESI07004 or appropriate SCQF Level 7 Qualification or equivalent.
