Course descriptionThe course aims to provide students with a comprehensive view of the global Christian movement in time and space.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students should gain a comprehensive view of the global Christian movement from its Middle Eastern origins to the Inquisition, presenting and being able to apply a range of historical approaches when they study the growth and diversification of Christianity as a world religion.

Students will acquire a broad understanding of the place of Christianity in world history and be aware of the interactions of Christianity with other world religions.
Assessment Information
One Essay (30%);
One weblog entry on the course website together with tutorial presentation and weekly comments on the website backed up by participation in the tutorial (10%);
Degree EXAM (60%).
In order to pass this course, students must obtain a minimum of 40% in both the coursework (combined mark) and the degree exam.
